Essay Competition 

Recently, all Alpharetta High School 9th graders participated in the annual, Rotary- sponsored Laws of Life Essay Competition.  This essay competition asks students to select their own Law of Life, and to write about how it applies to their lives. In doing so, students reflect deeply and write from the heart about what they think matters most. The contest celebrates the students’ stories and their often profound reflections, and proudly presents significant cash awards to students and teachers.

Varsity Tennis 

The girls varsity tennis team opened the season at home on Tuesday with a non conference match against Chattahoochee.  The Lady Raiders swept ‘Hooch;  

all lines won and  in straight sets. Standouts in the match: Sara Berry line 1 singles; Isabella Markus  line 2 singles; Alyssa Khalil  line 3 singles; Ashley Lu and Aditi Desai at line 1 doubles;  

Lauren Heffner and Ishita Ravi at line 2 doubles.  

The team plays next at Cambridge on February 16th. Come out and cheer them on if you are able! 


The Mens Varsity Lacrosse team lost a hard fought game to West Forsyth on Thursday by a score of 11 to 7. Chuck Howard led the way in scoring, tallying 4 goals and 2 assists, while Connor Corkill and Koen Rose both tallied two goals each. Coach Innis also would like to shout out the team's athletic trainer, Ashton, and social media team, Bella, Avery, and Noga for toughing it out in the cold to help support the team. The boys next game is TOMORROW at North Gwinnett. Come out and support! 

Dual Enrollment 

9th, 10th, and 11th graders interested in Dual Enrollment for Summer 2022 and/or Fall 2022 and/or Spring 2023, are encouraged to visit our new AHS Dual Enrollment website, www.ahsde.weebly.com to find information about DE! There are presentations, a checklist, college DE website links, and FAQs. Also, students can come during their lunches on Feb. 11 and 25 to ask clarifying questions after watching the presentations.
