Raider Band

This past Saturday the Alpharetta High School Marching Raider Band competed in its first ever Bands of America national marching band competition Orlando, Florida. There were competing bands from Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Arkansas. Our band won the music, visual, and general effect captions in the 3-A class and was also named the 3-A class champion. Additionally, the band was selected as one of the 12 finalist bands. In the final round of competition, our band had an amazing performance and placed 4th of all the bands. It was quite an accomplishment to be selected as a finalist at a Bands of America national competition especially since this was our marching band’s first time competing on the national level. Special thanks go out to our assistant principal, Mrs. Clair Greenaway, for accompanying the band and accepting awards with the AHS drum majors.
