2019 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI)

Parents and Guardians,

Georgia Department of Education released the 2019 College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) for all schools in Georgia. The CCRPI is the way the Georgia Department of Education (DOE) measures schools and school districts and gives them a rating on a 100-point scale. We are incredibly excited to report that we saw an increase in most areas, and achieved our first 5-Star Climate Rating, the highest possible achievement. Here are some of the highlights of this report:

  • Overall School Score: 93.8 (an increase of .2)
    The overall rating measures our results in the areas of content mastery, progress, closing the gap, readiness, graduation, rate, and school climate.

  • Climate Rating: 5-star
    School climate refers to the quality and character of school life – the “culture” of the school. School climate ratings are based on survey results and data from the 2018-2019 school year, and each school is rated on a 1-5 scale, with five stars representing an excellent school climate. The rating is based on four components: 1) student, teacher, and parent perceptions of a school’s climate; 2) student discipline; 3) a safe and substance-free learning environment; 4) school-wide attendance.

  • Graduation Rate: 97.7
    Graduation Rate measures whether students are graduating from high school with a regular diploma in four or five years.

  • Content Mastery Rate: 98.4 (an increase of .4)
    Content Mastery addresses whether students are achieving at the level necessary to be prepared for the next grade, college, or career. This component includes achievement scores in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

  • Closing the Gap Rating: 81.3 (an increase of 7.9)
    Closing Gaps sets the expectation that all students and all student subgroups (American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black, Hispanic, Multi-Racial, White, Economically Disadvantaged, English Learners, and Students with Disability) make improvements in achievement rates for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
