Meet the Zone Superintendents: Angela Parham, Zone 5

Fulton County Schools (FCS) has appointed seven Zone Superintendents for the 2020-2021 school year. We have asked each of them to answer six questions so you can get to know them. We are sharing responses from Angela Parham, Superintendent, Zone 5. Visit the Learning Zone 5 webpage.

Angela Parham Why did you become an educator and who inspires you to lead?

I became an educator because I had amazing teachers who saw my potential and provided opportunities in order for me to become an exceptional student. My teachers inspired me to be this type of teacher to my students.

What are your hopes as you take on this new challenge of Zone Superintendent?

My goal is to cultivate my principals’ leadership proficiency in order for them to create conditions for ALL students to succeed and reach their full potential.

What’s the top item on your bucket list?

I love to travel, so visiting all (or almost all) continents is on my bucket list.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are traveling and watching sports. I am able to enjoy both of my hobbies with my husband and two sons.

What’s the last song you added to your playlist?

I don’t have a playlist. Even though I love music, I rarely listen to it and don’t have any songs downloaded on my phone.

My favorite book is "Becoming" by Michelle Obama.
