FCS Educators Named 2021-2022 Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts

Fulton County Schools teachers continue to demonstrate leadership as self-driven, passionate and collaborative educators who strive to inspire students with creative thinking and thoughtful technology integration in the classroom. Each year, Microsoft selects educators and schools to be part of an exclusive global community paving the way for their peers to share ideas, try new approaches, and learn from each other.

This year, of the thousands of educators from across the U.S. who applied to be Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts, the following FCS school leaders were selected:

Bear Creek Middle School has been named an official Microsoft Showcase School, part of a global community of K-12 schools using digital transformation to create immersive, inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning and empower students to achieve more. Additionally, Tri-Cities High School has been recognized as a Microsoft Incubator Showcase School for the 2021-2022 Showcase School Program. Showcase Incubator Schools have committed to partner with Microsoft on their transformation journey to becoming a Microsoft Showcase School.

“We are appreciative of Microsoft Education for recognizing the dedicated staff members herein and our newest Showcase School, Bear Creek Middle School, and newest Showcase Incubator School, Tri Cities High School,” said FCS Chief Information Technology Officer Emily Bell. “As evidenced by the numerous MIE Experts and the latest addition to our Showcase School portfolio, Fulton’s teachers and staff continue to champion the Microsoft platform for the benefit of our students. We’re thankful for our continued partnership with Microsoft as we endeavor to leverage high quality applications to augment student achievement.”
