Nine Fulton County Schools Named Title I Reward Schools
Due to the diligent work of students, staff members, school leaders, parents and community members, nine Fulton County Title I schools were recently named Title I Reward Schools by the Georgia Department of Education.
The Reward Schools designation recognizes Title I schools making the greatest improvements. Reward Schools are among the greatest-improving 5% of Title I Schoolwide schools and Title I Targeted Assistance schools in the State. Reward Schools also must maintain the performance of their economically disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, and English learners to be recognized. This year’s prestigious award was given to schools who have maintained their Title I Reward Schools status for the past two years.
“This designation exemplifies the strides Fulton County Schools has made to improve the performance of all students on statewide assessments,” said Dr. Chris Matthews, Assistant Superintendent Student Services. “The commitment demonstrated by each of these schools to improve the quality of instruction and student learning is a testament to the great work of our students, teachers, and school leaders.”
Congratulations to these exceptional schools for all of their hard work:
