Fulton County Schools would like to say "welcome" to our newly-hired principals and administrative staff. We also offer our "congratulations" to existing employees that move into these positions as well. We are proud to present our newest team members here and on our FCS Social Media.


 

Melanie Conley

Director of Enterprise Resource Planning

Ms. Conley has a long relationship with Fulton County Schools, having matriculated through Seaborn Lee Elementary, Paul West Middle, and the now closed Westwood High School. After college, she returned to the district in 1996 working as a volunteer which opened the door to positions in Academics, IT, Operations, and now Talent.

Ms. Conley is a strong believer in empowering staff through self and organizational efficacy to produce extraordinary outcomes. She loves her Fulton family and is excited for the opportunity to serve in this new role.

 


 

Eric Hollinhead

Dr. Eric Hollinhead

Deputy Chief Talent Officer

Dr. Eric Hollinhead has dedicated over 20 years to providing children high quality educational experiences. In June of 2012, Dr. Hollinhead moved from Orlando, Florida to Atlanta, Ga to lead Langston Hughes High School of Fulton County. While working as principal of Langston Hughes, Eric increased the number of students taking Advanced Placement Courses, decreased the dropout rate and increased the graduation rate by over 20%.

Prior to his arrival in Fulton County Schools, Dr. Hollinhead served over 12 years in Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) in Orlando, Florida. During his tenure in OCPS he served as teacher, Administrative Dean, Assistant Principal and Principal. During his principalship of Lockhart Middle School, Dr. Hollinhead increased learning gains in reading and math and increased the number of high school courses offered on campus. During Dr. Hollinhead’s career he has been successful in recruiting, developing, and retaining high quality teachers and leaders. Dr. Hollinhead most recently served as the Zone 4 Superintendent for Fulton County Schools, where he supports 12 schools in the Sandy Springs area. Eric has completely incorporated himself in the local Sandy Springs community by being a member of the Sandy Springs Education Force Board of Directors and participating in the Leadership Sandy Springs 2023 cohort.

Dr. Hollinhead holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Financial Services from the University of West Florida, a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctor of Education from Capella University. Dr. Hollinhead and his wife Keeva have been married for 17 years and have two sons, Caleb, and Jacob.
