Day 1

From the district: We have two announcements:

1) During the current break, FCS has developed a remote learning plan, aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence, that allows students to continue their classes from home while awaiting their return to a physical school environment. Plans will be implemented starting March 16, 2020 through March 20, 2020 and continued the following week if needed. Students and parents will receive more information directly from their schools and teachers about their specific remote learning plans. Additional information is available via this link.

2) The district has also created a food distribution program for families in need of nutritional support. Effective Monday, March 16, Fulton County Schools will provide an opportunity for families to pick up meals at Lake Forest Elementary School, Mimosa Elementary School, Haynes Bridge Middle School, Tri-Cities High School, Banneker High School, and Langston Hughes High School on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click here to learn more about this program or descargar en español.

These steps are part of an ongoing process the district has implemented to deal with the ever-changing COVID-19 crisis. As new events occur, additional government and public health announcements are made, and circumstances change, our COVID-19 Executive Task Force will continue to monitor and update FCS plans.

We ask our families to be mindful that closing schools and initiating remote learning options have been implemented to limit social contact in hopes of curtailing the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we all work through this situation together.

Day 2

Electronic Report Card Distribution

Report cards for ES and MS will be published via the Campus Parent AND Campus Student portals on 3/17/2020 at 4:00 pm. ALL students have access to the portal via ClassLink. While schools are closed, all future grade reporting will be via the Campus Parent and Student portals.

All parents who have created a portal account will be able to access and print their student’s report card. All students will be able to access and print their own report cards via Campus Student.

All parents who do NOT have a portal account should have received an email with a unique link and directions on how to create their account on Monday, 3/16/2020 by the district.

• Any parent who is unable to create their account should ask their student to log into Campus Student via ClassLink to access their report card.
• All support for parent portal account creation will be addressed by local schools after buildings have re-opened due to security reasons.

Attached here are the steps students may use to access their electronic report cards on March 17th. If you have any questions, please email me

Good evening Wolf Creek! I hope all is well as we end week 1 of TeleSchool digital learning. We have definitely experienced some glitches, but I know things will get better. I hope it has been a productive week for everyone. Below is information from the district on next week learning packets and food distribution. Technology needs for 3-5 are also being addressed. More information to come. We sent out a link for technology needs. Hopefully all parents were able to complete it. We will submit this number to the district so that accommodations can be made. Teachers at some grade levels have begun to adjust learning plans a bit that are specific to their students in their class you may see some differences next week. Learning packets from the district may look a little different. Teachers will make any necessary adjustments for families that pick up packets and have no other access. Please contact your child’s teacher specifically for questions after you receive Week 2 plans this weekend. The district has added several sites for food distribution. You may go to the one closest to you. Remember, ID and Student Numbers are needed for any 3rd-5th technology pick up. (More information is coming regarding devices. Stay tuned. ) take moment to relax and regroup this weekend. We understand this week was a whirlwind! Thanks for all you did to make our new norm a successful experience. See you Monday!

April 13th

Greetings Wolves!! I hope you had a wonderful Spring Break! A little rest and relaxation did a body good! As you all know, Governor Kemp has ordered schools closed through the remainder of the year. We are ready to forge ahead and provide an effective virtual learning experience to our students. We ask for your continued patience and support.

Food distribution will be limited this week to one day. The Georgia Department of Education shared information with FCS regarding the Center for Disease Control’s recently released precautions for employees reporting to work for essential functions. Precautions now include wearing face masks while in the workplace. Fulton County Schools is making adjustments to our food distribution program to comply with these precautions.

Based upon these precautions, the school system will only be providing meals on Wednesday, April 15 for next week. Meal distributions will take place at all 21 locations. Distributions are canceled for Monday and Friday.

The district is in the process of reevaluating our capabilities aligned to the new CDC recommendations for the long-term. Food distribution is an important part of supporting our students, but we must balance that critical need with the health of our employees and the community. The circumstances around the pandemic continue to evolve and we must make changes as they do. Additional updates and information about our food distribution program will be shared soon.

Below, you will find Week 4 Learning Plans. Be reminded that some teachers have begun to make necessary adjustments to the district plans based on the needs of their students. Your child’s teacher will contact you directly with any changes or updates. Please contact your child’s teacher directly with questions, as plans may vary by grade level/class.

Please encourage your child to log in to the various platforms accordingly, as guided by his/her teacher.

We are looking forward to an exciting Week #4 of TeleSchool.
