    Tennis

The Raider Boys Varsity Tennis Team entered the Region Tournament as the #1 Seed.  The Raiders defeated Cherokee3-0 to advance to the Region 5-7A Championship Match against The Evil Empire know as Milton High School.  The Raiders prevailed in a tightly contested match with a 3-2 Victory.  Milton narrowly took both lines of doubles, however, their good fortune ended when it came to doubles!

Devon Moskowitz took line one singles in less than 30 minutes.

Mitchell Jiang continued the Milton Stack of singles losses with a solid win at line two singles.

Milton was feeling supremely confidant that they had line three singles in the Eagle’s Nest when the match went to a third and deciding set.  Yohance “The Canadian Crusher” Badyal, took his game to a higher level and dominated the third set and secured The Region Championship while dealing a crushing blow to The Evil Empire on the way to victory!

This is the second consecutive Region Championship for the Boys and their 4th consecutive win over Milton in the past 2 seasons!  The Raiders will enter the State Playoffs with a #1 Seed!

The band concluded their performance with a phenomenal clarinet solo work with band accompaniment. The featured soloist was Alpharetta's own, Michael Serafino who wowed the audience as he performed the very challenging work all from memory! Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Kaufman are very proud of the band students and all the hard work that they have put in to continue the stellar accomplishments that our school is known for and keeping Alpharetta High School a nationally recognized school of excellence.
