Safety, Transportation & Auxiliary Services

Capital Plan 2032 prioritizes the safety, functionality, and long-term sustainability of district operations through strategic investments in campus security, transportation, furniture, and equipment. These lifecycle-based investments help support safe learning environments, reliable services, and efficient use of resources across the district.

Safety & Security
Protecting Every Student, Every Day

Safety remains a foundational priority for Capital Plan 2032. Building on previous investments, the district continues to strengthen both prevention and response capabilities across all campuses.

  • Enhanced security and surveillance systems

  • Modern visitor management solutions

  • Improved emergency communication tools

  • Automated external defibrillator (AED) replacements

  • Updated equipment and resources for school police officers

Transportation
Reliability Through Strategic Replacement

Capital Plan 2032 ensures that the district’s transportation fleet remains safe, reliable, and cost-effective through a disciplined replacement cycle of 10 years plus a two-year buffer.

  • Replacement of aging buses with 72-passenger and wheelchair-accessible buses

  • Continued use of propane and clean diesel buses

  • Replacement of maintenance, warehouse, and safety support vehicles

  • Upgrades to fuel management, GPS, camera, and communication systems

  • Purchase of replacement tires and shop equipment

Auxiliary Services
Supporting Instruction and Daily Operations

Furniture and equipment across the district are replaced on a lifecycle basis to support functionality, safety, and alignment with instructional needs. These investments, while less visible, are critical to maintaining effective and efficient school environments.

  • Classroom furniture and instructional equipment

  • Custodial and maintenance equipment

  • Office and operational furnishings
