North Springs High School
Background of Project
The replacement North Springs High School is being built in multiple phases. Set to open in August 2027, the new school is designed to house 1,500 students in grades 9-12.
The project began with a pre-design/design process that included site studies to guide decisions about the best layout for the new school and its phased construction plan.
Phase I of construction, which was completed in Spring 2025, focused on site preparation. This work included demolishing existing athletic facilities (softball field, competition field, stadium, practice field, and tennis courts) as well as removing parking areas and surrounding paved surfaces. Crews also created new access points from Trowbridge Road, relocated underground utilities, and installed new drainage and stormwater systems to support the future campus.
Currently underway, Phase II includes construction of a modern high school with updated academic spaces and athletic facilities. The project is on schedule and students will occupy the new campus beginning with the 2027-2028 school year. The balance of the project will include the demolition of the existing building and completion of the stadium and other athletic fields, courts, and parking lots by August 2028.
