Construction

New/Replacement Schools

Three schools currently are under construction. Global Impact Academy (completion date 2021) is a new magnet school focusing on curricular options for students who are seeking a non-traditional, rigorous, STEM-based experience. Construction on its North Fulton counterpart, Innovation Academy, finished in Summer 2020. Crabapple Middle School (completion date 2021) and Riverwood International Charter School (completion date 2022) are rebuilds of existing buildings.

Replacement buildings for Conley Hills Elementary School and McClarin High School are still under discussion due to changing enrollment needs.

Renovations

More than $280 million has been invested in construction and facility improvement projects across 20 Fulton County schools to get them ready for the 2020-2021 school year, including these Summer 2020 projects.
