Kristin McCabe currently serves as Vice President of the school board.

Kristin McCabe is a Johns Creek resident and former nurse who brings leadership experience from the PTA and local school council to her position on the Fulton County Board of Education.

Mrs. McCabe was a pediatric cardiac nurse for eight years at Egleston Children's Hospital before transitioning to a role outside of patient care. After 10 years in medical sales, she put her career on hold to become a stay-at-home mom and soon found school volunteerism to be her passion. She feels that raising children is the hardest job a parent will ever have and plans to use her position as a School Board member to help parents understand key educational issues and how to advocate for their children. She looks forward to collaborating with other Board members and providing a different perspective and fresh eyes on current policies and procedures.

Mrs. McCabe was raised in a home where serving the community was a core belief. Her mother and grandmother were nurses , like she was, and her father was a business owner who gave back to the community. In addition, Mrs. McCabe's husband was a founding member of the Johns Creek City Council, which gave her exposure to working with school leaders, parents, elected officials, and members of the community. She also has served as president of Findley Oaks Elementary school's PTA and as a parent representative on local school advisory committees, has been part of multiple community committees to promote ESPLOST (the one-penny sales tax for education), and has served on the Fulton County Schools Health Advisory Committee and in various roles on Chattahoochee High School's Girls Lacrosse booster organization.

An Ohio native, Mrs. McCabe attended the University of South Florida where she received a bachelor's degree in Science and Nursing. She and her husband, Dan, have two adult daughters who attended Fulton County schools.

Board member since 2023. Term expires on December 31, 2026.
