Katie Gregory currently serves as vice president of the school board.
Katie Gregory, who represents District 3, has dedicated her career to public service and advocacy. She joined the Fulton County School Board in 2022 to fill a vacated seat and was then elected to a four-year term in 2024.
Before joining the school board, Mrs. Gregory was chair of the School Governance Council at Hapeville Elementary School and devoted her time to supporting the school, its programs, and the Hapeville community. Seeing an opportunity for greater parent involvement, Mrs. Gregory helped reinstate the school's PTA after it became inactive.
A graduate of the University of Alabama with a chemical engineering degree, Mrs. Gregory currently serves as president and founder of KBNC Strategies, LLC. In this role, she continues her work assisting the regulated community with government affairs issues at the state and local levels focused on environmental policy and strategy. She also supports companies with permitting, compliance, and enforcement matters. Earlier in her career, Mrs. Gregory was a vice president at McGuireWoods Consulting where she served on its government relations team. She also spent 14 years working in the public sector for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GEPD) as a manager in the Land Protection Branch, focusing on air protection.
She and her husband live in Hapeville with their two children. She has served the community on Hapeville Main Street’s Board of Directors and is a member of Tri-Cities Church in East Point.
Board member since 2023. Term expires on December 31, 2028.
