    WBMS Parents and Guardians –

As I communicated yesterday, Fulton County Schools is taking precautionary steps and closing our buildings until further notice. Education at WBMS will continue, but it will shift to Remote Learning, which is a strategy for learning continuity to be deployed during an extended time away from school. It is an opportunity to engage in learning remotely instead of attending school onsite.  During this time, staff will provide learning opportunities to all students through digital resources. Webb Bridge teachers started preparation for this type of learning on March 12th and spent today developing lessons that will continue our students engaging in educational experiences.

Here is what you can expect:

    • Remote Learning will begin on Monday, March 16th (even though it was a scheduled RFF day for WBMS).
    • Students will complete a 120-minute learning activity every day.
    • Enrichment and support materials will also be available.
    • Each day is dedicated to a different subject. Please use the chart below for guidance:
    • Monday

    • Please check https://www.fultonschools.org/webbbridgems EVERYDAY. Teachers may update their lessons the night before.
    • Teachers will be monitoring email from 8am-4pm each day. Teachers will closely monitor and respond immediately to questions daily from 9am-11am.
    • Many teachers will host live teaching or help sessions on their assigned day, and those will take place during the hours of 9 – 11.
    • Students should communicate with their teacher using their regular form of communication. Email is also an option.
    • All students have county email. Student Fulton county email addresses are as Student#@fcstu.org
    • Students who have daily small group instruction, will receive their lessons via email.
    • There will be a Fulton County School hotline for assistance - 470-254-2300
    • Counselors and support staff are available each day from 8am-4pm.  (I will send a specific email about these supports next week.)

As teachers prepared lessons today, they kept the following in mind:

    • We will be patient with your children, as this is a learning curve and adjustment for them.
    • Your child may not have all his/her materials at home.
    • Your student may need support or enrichment.

As we move into next week, we ask the follow from you:

    • Please be patient with us, as this is a learning curve for us too.
    • Communicate with us if you have concerns or see that your child is struggling.
    • Encourage your child to work as independently as possible.

Again, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.  Expect more communication from me on Monday.

    Please stay healthy and safe!

    In collaboration -

    Rebecca Williams

    Principal, Webb Bridge Middle School

  • Remote Learning Information

    • The Remote Learning Hotline (470-254-2300) is available to answer technical assistance questions, such as resetting a password or finding a student ID number. The hotline is open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the regular school week, Monday through Friday.
    • Beginning April 16th, “dial 8 for computer/hardware issue” will be added to the Remote Learning hotline number for all Parents/Guardians, Students, and Fulton County Schools staff members.  Technology staff members will be available through “dial 8” to address any problems with the FCS issued device.  If necessary, the Technology staff will direct Parents/Guardians, Students, and Staff to an online form that will allow picking a time/date/location to get a computer, swap a computer, get a power cord, or return a computer if a student is graduating or leaving the district.
    • Student Device Hubs will be at Ridgeview, Wolf Creek, Taylor Road, and Banneker Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm.
