Yes. Middle School students are expected to do approximately 2 hours of school work each day. Some classes may extend beyond the two hours and some may take less.
Ridgeview students will use Google Classroom to access the lesson, assignment, activities, and to submit their work.
That's correct. Each day Ridgeview students should logon at 9:30. Teachers may be providing virtual teaching sessions and will have all materials for the day posted by then (if not earlier). Middle School students are expected to do daily work for two hours or more. Ridgeview teachers will post their lesson and activities for students by 9:15 on their content day so that students can begin their work at 9:30 a.m. each day.
We know that most families have a smartphone with data that can be used as a temporary "hot spot" or have wireless internet to allow student iPads to login to Google Classroom. Comcast is offering 2 months free internet to new Internet Essentials customers in response to recent and anticipated emergency measures associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) https://www.internetessentials.com. Xfinity has turned on free access to community hotspots which can be located using their website feature and your own address to find the nearest free Xfinity hotspot https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/open-xfinity-wifi-hotspots and http://wifi.xfinity.com/#find-a-hotspot.
We encourage you to proactively reach out to the teacher at their @fultonschools.org e-mail address to keep in good communication. Teachers' daily lesson plans and activities are posted in the left menu of this page by clicking on the appropriate grade level.
