  • Remote Learning and TeleSchool is a strategy for learning continuity to be deployed for extended time away from school. Parents and students should click below to learn how TeleSchool will be implemented at RCMS and how students will receive instruction, assignments and activities, and support from their teachers and other school staff.

    Teachers lessons can be found by clicking on the appropriate grade level at the left, finding the teaching team, and then clicking on the links to their lesson plans for the week.

  • Are students expected to do TeleSchool assignments during Remote Learning?

    Yes. Middle School students are expected to do approximately 2 hours of school work each day. Some classes may extend beyond the two hours and some may take less.

  • How do Ridgeview students receive the lesson, the activities, and support from staff?

    Ridgeview students will use Google Classroom to access the lesson, assignment, activities, and to submit their work.

  • Ridgeview students should logon to Google Classroom each day at 9:30?

    That's correct. Each day Ridgeview students should logon at 9:30. Teachers may be providing virtual teaching sessions and will have all materials for the day posted by then (if not earlier). Middle School students are expected to do daily work for two hours or more. Ridgeview teachers will post their lesson and activities for students by 9:15 on their content day so that students can begin their work at 9:30 a.m. each day.

  • What if we do not have internet access?

    We know that most families have a smartphone with data that can be used as a temporary "hot spot" or have wireless internet to allow student iPads to login to Google Classroom. Comcast is offering 2 months free internet to new Internet Essentials customers in response to recent and anticipated emergency measures associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) https://www.internetessentials.com. Xfinity has turned on free access to community hotspots which can be located using their website feature and your own address to find the nearest free Xfinity hotspot https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/open-xfinity-wifi-hotspots and http://wifi.xfinity.com/#find-a-hotspot

  • What if we know we will be unable to logon at 9:30 on a certain day?

    We encourage you to proactively reach out to the teacher at their @fultonschools.org e-mail address to keep in good communication. Teachers' daily lesson plans and activities are posted in the left menu of this page by clicking on the appropriate grade level.

  • Are TeleSchool student assignments in Remote Learning graded?

    Yes, TeleSchool assignments are subject to grading. The teacher will specify in Google Classroom how the assignment will be graded and when it will be due in Google Classroom.

  • What if we need technology or iPad help?

    During TeleSchool, technical support will be provided to students and families managed through FCS. The hotline number is 470-254-2300, and help can also be accessed through the Fulton County Schools Website. Additionally, our Media & Instructional Technology Educator Mrs. Gunter is available through Google Voice and e-mail to assist. That contact information is on the right-hand side of this page.

  • When can students or parents contact Ridgeview Staff Members?

    Students and parents can e-mail our faculty and staff Monday through Friday. We will work from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. while students are working and will be available through e-mail during normal working hours to provide responses from our @fultonschools.org e-mail addresses within 24 working hours. Students will also be able to communicate with their teachers through their typical Google Classrooms.

  • What if I need support from someone other than a teacher?

  • Lesson Plans Clipart

    To better assist RCMS parents and families in helping students track assignments and work completion, beginning on Monday, April 13th we will post teachers’ daily lesson plans.  Teachers' daily lesson plans and assignments can be found by clicking the apropriate grade level on the left menu of this page.

    The lessons will be released on the day of the content.  For example:

    • Monday 4/13 ELA 
    • Tuesday 4/14 Math 
    • Wednesday 4/15 Connections, Reading, and World Language 
    • Thursday 4/16 Science 
    • Friday 4/17 Social Studies 

    We will continue to post plans each week in April and May in the same way.
