TeleSchool is a strategy for learning continuity to be deployed for extended time away from school. Parents and students should click below to learn how TeleSchool will be implemented at RCMS and how students will receive instruction, assignments and activities, and support from their teachers and other school staff.

Are students expected to do assignments during TeleSchool?
Posted by:Yes. Middle School students are expected to do approximately 2 hours of school work each day. Some classes may extend beyond the two hours and some may take less.

How do Ridgeview students receive the lesson, the activities, and support from staff?
Posted by:Ridgeview students will use Google Classroom to access the lesson, assignment, activities, and to submit their work.

Ridgeview students should logon to Google Classroom each day at 9:30?
Posted by:That's correct. Each day Ridgeview students should logon at 9:30. Teachers may be providing virtual teaching sessions and will have all materials for the day posted by then (if not earlier). Middle School students are expected to do daily work for two hours or more. Ridgeview teachers will post their lesson and activities for students by 9:15 on their content day so that students can begin their work at 9:30 a.m. each day.

What if we do not have internet access?
Posted by:We know that most families have a smartphone with data that can be used as a temporary "hot spot" or have wireless internet to allow student iPads to login to Google Classroom. What if we know we will be unable to logon at 9:30 on a certain day?

Are TeleSchool student assignments graded?
Posted by:Yes, TeleSchool assignments are subject to grading. The teacher will specify in Google Classroom how the assignment will be graded and when it will be due in Google Classroom.

What if my student's iPad stops working?
Posted by:During TeleSchool, technical support will be provided to students and families managed through FCS. The hotline number is 470-254-2300, and help can also be accessed through the Fulton County Schools Website. Additionally, a student may use any internet-enabled device such as a smart phone, a personal tablet, or a home computer to login to Classlink and then select the Google Classroom application once in classlink.

When can students or parents contact Ridgeview Staff Members?
Posted by:Students and parents can e-mail our faculty and staff Monday through Friday. We will work from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. while students are working. We will be monitoring our @fultonschools.org e-mail addresses and will respond within 24 working hours. Students will also be able to communicate with their teachers through their typical Google Classrooms.

What if I need support from someone other than a teacher?
