Counseling Mission Statement

  • The mission of the Counseling Department is to build a comprehensive developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Programs developed by the Counseling Department will be driven by the unique ethnic, cultural, and economic diversity of the entire student population with the end goal of removing barriers to student learning and encouraging achievement at the highest level for each student. Through a partnership with students, educators, parents, and the community, the  Counseling Department will prepare students academically and socially to be productive members and leaders of society.

Hello! My name is Dana Brockriede, and I am the School Counselor at Mimosa Elementary. My goal is to meet each student where they are at academically, socially, and emotionally to promote positive growth and success within their lives.

Originally from New Jersey, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Monmouth University in May, 2018. I continued my education at Monmouth University and obtained my Master’s Degree in School Counseling in May, 2020.

Aside from School Counseling and my unwavering passion to help others, my other passion is music. I love to sing and will sing at any place that will give me the opportunity to do so!
