My name is Tiffany Dorsey, and this will be my third year at Hillside Elementary. I am so excited to continue to support our students!

I graduated from Georgia State University with a master’s degree in School Counseling. Prior to attending Georgia State, I attended Shorter University where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have worked in the education field in some capacity for eight years. I am currently in my specialist program for school counseling at the University of West Georgia.

I grew up in McDonough, GA, and I currently live in Kennesaw, GA. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and playing with my cat, Earl. Let’s have a great year together! #HESLearningandGrowing

Counseling Mission Statement

  • The mission of the Counseling Department is to build a comprehensive developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Programs developed by the Counseling Department will be driven by the unique ethnic, cultural, and economic diversity of the entire student population with the end goal of removing barriers to student learning and encouraging achievement at the highest level for each student. Through a partnership with students, educators, parents, and the community, the  Counseling Department will prepare students academically and socially to be productive members and leaders of society.

Counseling Vision Statement

  • The students at Hillside Elementary are encouraged to be lifelong learners and given the skills to be a positive school and community member.  Students receive academic instruction utilizing a rigorous curriculum delivered in a unique manner which facilitates student achievement.
