    Cafeteria Birthday Celebration

Parents we can help you celebrate your child's birthday with his/her classmates by letting  you purchase ice-cream for $1.00 per child.  Please go online and add money to your child's GENERAL LUNCH account based on the number of students in the classroom.  Then email your child's teacher and the cafeteria manager richardsonb1@fultonschools.org  to let us know what date you would like to celebrate it.  We will take care of the rest.

    Charges

The cost of a breakfast and/or lunch will be deducted from the student's account balance. Meal prices for students are $1.10  and $2.45 for lunch. Meal prices for teachers and adults are $2.00 for breakfast and $4.00 for lunch. Milk prices are .75 cents. Parents may also opt to pay for breakfast and/or lunch on a daily basis. We suggest that you give your child the appropriate cash amount in an envelope marked with his/her name and teacher name. Students who forget their lunch money may request a charge to be placed on his/her account. Payment for that charge should be paid the following school day. Ice cream will only be served on Fridays, and is $1.25.

    Accounts

Parents are encouraged to prepay for breakfast and/or lunch purchases. Please submit payment in an envelope with your child's legal name and teacher name written on the front.  The cost of a breakfast and/or lunch will be deducted from the student's account balance. Extra purchases (i.e. ice cream), will not be deducted unless permission has been given on the Student Profile. Notices will be sent home to the parent to notify when an account shows a negative balance. If you receive such a notice, you are encouraged to pay the past due balance and include additional funds for future purchases. Charging on an account with a zero balance is discouraged and parents are asked to keep a pre-paid balance in the account so that it remains current. Students who forget their lunch money may request a charge to be placed on his/her account. Payment for that charge should be paid the following school day. Contact our cafeteria manager with any questions regarding your account.

    Daily Payment

Parents may also opt to pay for breakfast and/or lunch on a daily basis. Place the appropriate amount in an envelope marked with your child's name and teacher name.

    Extras

Although, school nutrition procedures allow for the cafeteria to place comments on a child's account that notifies cashiers about parent requested restrictions, school nutrition cannot guarantee that a child's options of purchases will be limited. However, we do have an option for a parent to choose what meal fund in which to place money on for their child to use for the purchase of meals. The options include the Meal Account Only, "the student can only purchase meals", or General Account, "this leaves the students account open where they can purchase meals and extras to include milk, snacks, and ice-cream." If you choose to do the Meal Account Only, you can always send in extra cash with your child to buy milk or extras at your discretion. The most effective way for a parent to restrict a student's purchases is to talk with their child about what they can purchase and when they can purchase select items. Also, the online mypaymentplus.com account is available for monitoring the student's purchases. The mypaymentplus.com account is free to set-up and will allow a parent to see what a student is purchasing daily. Please visit https://mypaymentsplus.com to set-up your account today. Ice cream will only be served on Fridays, for $1.25.

    Visitors

Visitors are welcome to purchase school lunch. Visitors should not carry lunch purchased from outside vendors.

Please sign in at the front desk and wear a visitor badge. Please wait in the atrium for your child to arrive for lunch.

Tables in a designated area may be necessary to accommodate visitors at lunch. The school staff will direct guests and students to that area when necessary.  Unless you have pre-arranged to return to your child's room to read or work, please say your goodbyes in the cafeteria.

    Special Diets

The cafeteria is not allowed to make menu adjustments for students with allergies and is not able to be accountable for ensuring the proper selection of menu items for students with allergies unless the student has a Medical Plan of Care for School Nutrition on file. The "Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act" requires schools to follow strict meal patterns and dietary specifications.  Adjusted meals will only be provided based on a medical statement from a licensed physician and after completing the proper forms.  If you believe your child qualifies for a special diet, the Medical Plan of Care for School Nutrition form (available in the school clinic) MUST be completed and returned to the school clinic. New forms are required each school year.  If you need to establish a special diet plan, please contact your school's clinic. If you have questions, please contact the School Nutrition Department at 404-669-8960.
