Welcome to the Media Center!  My name is Sarah Severson and I am the METI (Media and Educational Technology Instructor) at HFE! My job is twofold.  I promote and foster a love for reading through class checkout, ebooks, the book fair, and ordering new and relevant books that students are interested in.  The other portion of my job centers around creating a 21st century learning environment.  I am so excited to work with all the students this year!  I will be pushing into classrooms to lead and coteach lessons about educational technology, research skills, robotics, 3D printing, information literacy skills, digital citizenship, Seesaw, Teams, Office 365, and more!  I am working closely with teachers to help integrate technology into daily lessons.

The Media Center is open from 7:10 - 2:10 Monday - Friday for students. Parents are welcome in the library after front desk check-in. Parents are able to check-out additional titles for their students to support reading at home and also volunteer in the library with shelving books, shelf reading and special projects throughout the year. I am Mrs. Epps. I have worked at Heards Ferry since September 2009.  I joined the Media Center Staff six year ago.  I enjoy working in the Media Center because I have an opportunity to interact with all the students as I help them find books, materials and information.  The work is very rewarding because I get a chance use my training as a Professional Librarian.
