Dear Hembree Hawk Families and Staff,
As principal of Hembree Springs Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back into the building for a great year of learning and fun. I am excited to have our Hawks in the classrooms, in the hallways, and laughter on the playgrounds. We have high standards and believe that all students can perform on or above grade level. We are dedicated to academic success, with high priority on reading, writing, and math. Without a safe environment, learning and growing does not happen. Please know that safety is my number one priority, and all decisions for the year will be made with safety in mind first.
With the ever-changing state of the global pandemic and school policy, I would encourage you to read our weekly Hembree Highlights that are emailed out each Friday at 5:30 pm. The school website is also full of helpful links and information. Please feel free to follow us on social media: Twitter - @HembreeSprings and Facebook – Hembree Springs Elementary. Staying in the know about upcoming events will help your child get the most out of what we have to offer. Elementary school is a special time in a child’s life. It is when they discover that learning is fun and a thirst for life-long learning begins. That is an important focus for us because we know that we are laying the foundation for their future in academics and beyond.
I am honored to serve this wonderful community. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a school community where parents, teachers, and students care for one another and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at 470-254-2905 (office), 678-525-7704 (cell), or at smithaj3@fultonschools.org.
Sincerely,
Andrea J. Smith
Principal
