A Little Bit About Me.....
I am blessed to be entering my 26th year as an educator. I became a teacher in 1996, educating students in the grades of 3-8 for a total of 20 years. I taught two years in Greenville, MS, seven years in Chicago, IL, 10 years in DeKalb County, GA, and one year here in Fulton County. The 2021-2022 school year marks my 6th year as the school counselor here at S.L. Lewis Elementary School.
S.L. Lewis Counseling Mission.....
The mission of the counseling program at S.L. Lewis Elementary School is to provide a comprehenshive program that equips every student with the necessary tools to succeed academically, socially, and in regards to college/careers.
Services..... (Include, but are not limited to:)
*Individual, classroom, and small group guidance
*Collaboration and consultation with parents/families, teachers, administrators, students, community stakeholders, etc.
*Responsive services including crisis plans and crisis interventions/support
*Respond to student referrals
*Student program support
*Coordinate with community counseling agencies/partners
*ESOL Feeder Contact
