Click on the Parchment logo below to order your transcripts. First-time users should follow these Parchment Instructions. Orientation we will only be enrolling on an emergency, case-by-case basis.
We require copies of the birth certificate, social security card, immunizations. We also must have 2 proofs of residency. It is very helpful to have all these documents prior to the Orientation. They can be emailed or faxed to Ms. Najar at firstname.lastname@example.org or 470-254-7530.
A parent/guardian needs to call Independence at 470-245-7530 to make sure we have received their student transcripts, 504, IEP, and ELL scores if applicable to ensure we can give all the information they need about attending Orientation.
Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the Counseling Department is to build a comprehensive developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Programs developed by the Counseling Department will be driven by the unique ethnic, cultural, and economic diversity of the entire student population with the end goal of removing barriers to student learning and encouraging achievement at the highest level for each student. Through a partnership with students, educators, parents, and the community, the Counseling Department will prepare students academically and socially to be productive members and leaders of society.
