To increase the graduation rate of male students enrolled at Independence High School.
Mission Statement
The Male Mentoring Program, also known as “Getting Educated Now for Tomorrow’s Success” (GENTS), shall serve as a significant part of the educational process by providing support services designed to assist students in making academic, career and personal decisions. The GENTS program promotes the improvement of academics, retention and graduation of students through mentoring activities and support programs that encourage academic success, self-esteem, college and career readiness and personal growth of the participating students.
