The Independence High School Interact Club is sponsored by the Roswell Rotary and is open to students who are interested in serving others through various projects and events throughout the year. Club members participate in the annual Atlanta Heart Walk, the Atlanta Humane Society Walk and the Roswell Youth Day Parade, host blood drives in conjunction with LifeSouth Blood Centers, collect clothing and household items for the American Kidney Fund, support Operation Oreo to send Oreo cookies to American servicemen and women serving abroad and collect books for school-aged children in Zimbabwe. Members also act as Independence Ambassadors at school events and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Partners in Education Expo.
Meetings are held on Mondays during the Lunch/Advisement period in Room 222. Interested students should speak with the faulty co-advisors, Ms. Kiyana Fields or Ms. Brett Szymendera.
