School History

  • High Point Elementary was built in 1963.  It was originally built for Grades 1 through 7 with less than 400 students.  At that time, High Point had no Kindergarten or PreK classes.  There was no air conditioning at High Point until the 1970's!  In the past 50 years, there have been quite a few changes.

High Point has had two major additions since it was built.  The Kindergarten wing was added in 1987.  The Fourth and Fifth grade wing was added in 2007.  We now have a student population of approximately 670 students in Grades PreK through 5.
