Dear Webb Bridge Community,
I am tremendously honored and enthusiastic to be the principal of Webb Bridge Middle School. We have accomplished so much in the areas of academics, athletics, altruism, and the arts, but there is still important work ahead, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships and partner with everyone to fulfil our new vision - Through an inclusive community, we commit to cultivate each facet of each child in order to have a positive impact on tomorrow’s world.
Our staff and leadership team spent an enormous amount of time on our new school vision, and it is truly our pledge to our school community. We wanted to be sure certain words were used to convey our promise. We included “inclusive community” so all know they belong in our school. We selected “commit” rather than strive or aim because we wanted a stronger word to illustrate our dedication. Next, we desired to show our vow to meeting the needs of the whole-child through social, emotional, behavioral, and academic skills but felt whole-child might be overused; thus, we decided upon “each facet of each child” as we want our community to know we are devoted to meeting every child’s various needs. Lastly, we aspire to prepare all students to pursue their passions as they move on to high school and be fully equipped to make a difference in our world. That is our vow.
Together we have created a culture of character, where “We exemplify excellence through the Webb Way.” The Webb Way includes six values our whole community selected – Respect, Responsibility, Citizenship, Integrity, Perseverance, and Positivity. These values are integrated into all we do inside and outside of the classroom and illustrate who we are and how we do things at WBMS.
My goal is to create a learning community that collaborates through sharing, learning, reflecting, and growing, a place where we support and celebrate one another so all members can positively develop into their best selves, while maintaining a positive, balanced culture within the school and the entire Alpharetta community. We are "One Alpharetta" where our students and families are connected from elementary school through high school, with Webb Bridge Middle School at the center. More than anything, I work to develop our students into well-rounded, self-sufficient scholars who are prepared for high school and beyond. I am excited to move into my third year of this journey!
