• A Message from Ayo Richardson, Principal

    Dear Mustang Community,

I am delighted to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the start of a new school year at Mountain Park Elementary. I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful school year ahead. Our school is a place of learning, growth, and community, and I am honored to be part of this remarkable team.

To our returning students, welcome back! Your dedication and commitment to excellence is truly inspiring. I cannot wait to see the great things you will achieve this year. Embrace new challenges, continue to explore your passions, make new friends and make the most of the many opportunities that await you.

To our new students, I extend a special welcome to you. We are thrilled to have you join our school community. You are now a MUSTANG!  We can't wait to get to know each of you and see the unique contributions you will bring to our school.

At Mountain Park Elementary, we believe that education is a shared responsibility between students, parents, teachers, and the community. As principal, my commitment is to foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, respected, and inspired to reach their full potential. Together, we will create a school culture that promotes academic excellence, character development, and a love for learning.

This year, we will continue to focus on our core values of Trustworthiness, Respect, Accountability, Involvement & Leadership. These values are the foundation of our school community and guide our interactions with one another. I encourage all students to embrace these values as we strive to be the best versions of ourselves.

Our dedicated team of teachers and staff are eager to guide and support each student on their educational journey. We will work collaboratively to provide engaging and innovative learning experiences that cater to individual strengths and interests. Additionally, we will continue to enhance our curriculum, integrate technology, and implement best practices to meet the evolving needs of our students.

To parents and guardians, your partnership is crucial to our success. I encourage you to actively participate in your child's education, attend school events, and maintain open communication with teachers and the school administration. Together, we can ensure that your child has the support and encouragement they need to excel academically and socially.

Please know that my door is always open, and I welcome your input, feedback, and suggestions. Let us work together to make this school year a memorable and impactful one for every member of our Mountain Park family.

Once again, I extend my warmest welcome to all students and families. Here's to a fantastic year 50th year, filled with opportunities to SHINE ON!
