At Paul D West Middle School, we strive to offer a wide array of clubs for our students to expose them to diverse experiences.
Below you will find the clubs available for the 2022-23 school year. Clubs meet at various days and times. Students who are interested in joining a club must contact the sponsor for more information.

BETA Club

The National Junior Beta Club is an honor organization that recognizes outstanding academic achievement, promotes strong moral character and social responsibility, encourages service to others, fosters leadership skills, and provides settings for the members to develop strong interpersonal skills.

Broadcasting Team
The broadcast team is responsible for creating and producing the school news broadcast which includes school announcements and occasional special performances. Team members run the equipment, do the broadcasting, and gather news and announcements from around the school. Team members may also be asked to help create special productions.

Meetings: Daily at 3:30; after-school Monday and Thursdays 4-5

FCCLA
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. FCCLA is the only student organization that focuses on family with the mission to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Science education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code (GWC) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and computer science.
At PDW, the club sponsors combine the GWC curriculum with other fun coding projects.Sponsors: Ms. Alexander, Ms. Garcia

HOSA
HOSA is the only student lead organization that is 100% healthcare and connects all hubs of the healthcare field. HOSA creates driven, determined student leaders that are excited about the future of their communities and healthcare. HOSA’s mission is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill, and leadership development of all health science technology education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.

Marketing Club
The marketing club is focused on designing and implementing promotions and advertising. The students will operate the school store and support the concession stand. We hope to travel to Six Flags in the spring.Sponsor: Ms. Mitchell A152Meetings are Wednesday @ 4:30 to 5:00 -
Reading Bowl
Students in this club will read the ten Georgia Award Winners names yearly. In an Academic Bowl-like atmosphere, HMS students will compete with other Fulton County middle school students to test their knowledge of the books read.
