Hopewell Middle School opened in August 2004 with a student population of 870. This year, we opened our doors to almost 1200 students. Our students come from Manning Oaks, Cogburn Woods, Birmingham Falls, Summit Hill, and Alpharetta Elementary Schools. Our eighth graders will then go on to attend either Alpharetta High School, Cambridge High School, or Innovation Academy.
The administration, faculty, and staff at Hopewell are highly trained and motivated professionals dedicated to helping our students achieve success in all their endeavors.
Hopewell students excel in the classroom and beyond. Results from ITBS, Milestones, and Georgia Writing Assessment tests show the vast majority of our students meet or exceed standards set by the Georgia Department of Education. Out band, orchestra, and chorus consistently receive superior ratings at their festival performances and Large Group Performance Evaluations.
Students can participate in a variety of clubs and after-school activities. There is a club for everyone, ranging from the Academic Bowl to Adventure Club, intramurals and extramurals, music, outreach, and service.
The Parent Teacher Association is an active and dedicated group of volunteers at Hopewell. Your membership dues and enrichment donations provide curriculum based programs, social events for all grade levels, teacher appreciation funds, teacher mini grants and other activities for both students and families not offered by the Board of Education.
Hopewell’s success is myriad: students, faculty, staff, parents, and community working together to achieve and sustain excellence.
