Personal Device Policies

Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, students will no longer be able to connect personal devices to school Wi-Fi. In addition, the updates to Policy IFBGA: Electronic Communications align with Georgia’s “Distraction-Free Education Act,” which will restrict personal device use.

  • Elementary and middle school students (grades K-8) will be prohibited from accessing personal electronic devices during the school day.

  • High school students (grades 9-12) will be prohibited from accessing personal electronic devices during instructional time.

These updates are designed to reduce distractions, promote responsible technology use, and ensure that all students have reliable access to the learning tools provided by the district.
