Applicants who have attended colleges or universities outside the United States must provide an evaluation of credentials from an approved credentialing agency. Please see the approved agency list below: Evaluation of Credit Earned Outside of the United States

**All requirements must be completed and submitted for your application to be reviewed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.**
Steps to Become a Substitute
***Applicants who do not hold a valid teaching certificate must:

Complete the online STEDI Substitute Teacher Training Course

Earn a minimum composite score of 85%

Upload the STEDI Substitute Teacher Diploma with their application

Your STEDI certification must have been completed within one year of the date you submit your application. Example: If you submit your application on August 15, 2026, your STEDI certification must have been completed on or after August 15, 2025. Certifications completed before that date will not meet the requirement.
