The Legacy of Excellence is an exciting and festive celebration, honoring the very best in education across our district! This gala-themed luncheon shines a spotlight on each school’s top Teachers and Professionals of the Year, as well as the business and community partners whose outstanding contributions have fueled student success.
Featuring inspiring performances by our talented student musicians, this prestigious event is the highpoint of recognition for our educators and partners. With over 1,000 school, business, and community leaders in attendance, the Legacy of Excellence luncheon is a truly remarkable occasion—uniting our community in support of education and celebrating the incredible impact we make together for our students.

Event Details
Registration:
Honorees should arrive at the GICC no later than 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, you will be directed to the special Honoree Check-in table for your name badge, parade number, table number, and glass award. All other guests will check in at the General Check-in table for Partners, District Leaders, and FCS School Board. Table assignments will be provided at that time.
Attire:
Dressy business attire
Timeline/Run of Show:
- 10:00 a.m.– Honorees arrive, check-in, receive gift, name badge, etc.
- 10:15 a.m.– Honorees enjoy pre-event entertainment
- 11:00 a.m.– Honorees proceed to holding rooms
- 11:30 a.m.– Event officially begins with the Parade of Honorees (honorees walk across stage & name announced)
- 11:50 a.m.– Lunch & Program
- 1:30 p.m.– Program ends
Parade of Honorees:
The Parade of Honorees officially kicks off the event. Honorees must be in the "Honoree Holding Room" by 11 a.m. until the start of the event. Event volunteers will be on hand to assist with lining up honorees alphabetically by school. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. promptly!
Honorees, please note that you will NOT be allowed in the ballroom to leave personal items prior to the luncheon starting (the GICC staff is busy setting up the room). Volunteers will assist with placing your belongings at your table.
