Student Discipline, Prevention, & Intervention
The Office of Student Discipline, Prevention, & Intervention promotes self-discipline and academic success through proactive practices, positive climates, and educational responses to behavior. Our work is grounded in accountability, personal responsibility, and strong partnerships.
The Office of Student Discipline, Prevention, and Intervention plays a critical role in supporting safe, inclusive, and positive learning environments for all students across Fulton County Schools. Our office provides training, resources, and guidance to promote positive student behavior, ensure procedural fairness, and maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
We collaborate with district departments and school-based teams to deliver school-level expertise and training related to:
-
The Fulton County Schools Code of Conduct, ensuring all students, staff, and families understand behavior expectations and consequences.
-
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to promote proactive behavior strategies and a positive school climate.
-
Implementation of Restorative Practices to build community, resolve conflict, and reduce exclusionary discipline.
-
Title IX compliance, providing oversight and support to ensure all schools adhere to federal mandates regarding discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment and misconduct.
