Hello! My name is Maria Mueller, I am currently in my junior year at Chattahoochee High School and am taking 11th Honors American Literature through Fulton Virtual. I enjoy learning all new topics and skills, but my favorite subjects include math, science, and writing! Outside of that, I enjoy going to the gym, hanging out with my friends and pets, and doing nail art. I aspire to work in healthcare, where the ability to write professionally is very important.
Taking my literature course through Fulton Virtual has given me the opportunity to work with students from other schools and new teachers, such as Mrs. Kemp! I enjoy the flexibility that comes with the course, as it is self-paced. This allows me to get ahead on assignments and complete the course early, which is especially helpful as AP exam season approaches!
While completing this featured project, I learned about a new genre, Southern Gothic Literature, which showed me new ways of storytelling and overall writing. I began this project by writing a research paper, which enhanced my knowledge of the genre and the writer I was featuring. I enjoyed tying together all my newfound knowledge by using media elements such as audio and images to present all I have learned.
I am especially glad to have my work shared and used as an inspiration for other students!
