Virtual Learning

The Virtual Learning department for Fulton County Schools is dedicated to providing high-quality, flexible, and personalized educational experiences for students. The department encompasses three main components: Fulton Virtual (FV), Fulton County Credit Recovery (FCCR), and digital curriculum development. 

Fulton Virtual (FV) 

Fulton Virtual is a supplemental virtual program which provides competency-based, personalized learning options for students throughout the district. Serving students in grades 6-12, FV offers middle and high school core courses as well as several electives. Elementary students taking middle school courses can also enroll through Fulton Virtual. The program caters to students aiming to accelerate their learning or recover credits, offering flexible pacing and personalized support.

Fulton County Credit Recovery (FCCR) 

FCCR is designed to help students recover credits for courses they have previously failed. These online courses are overseen by a lab facilitator, ensuring students receive the necessary support to succeed. The credit recovery courses are standardized to maintain a consistent level of quality and rigor, aiding students in getting back on track for graduation. 

Digital Curriculum Work 

The digital curriculum work within the Virtual Learning department focuses on the development and maintenance of online and digital learning resources. The criteria for these courses encompass a mix of asynchronous and teacher-directed content delivery, various assessment types with feedback, and a robust course design in Canvas.
