Secondary World Languages - Grades 6-12

Language and communication are at the heart of the human experience. The Mission of Fulton County Schools World Languages is to educate students to be linguistically and culturally equipped to communicate successfully in personal, academic, and professional settings across a multilingual American society and abroad.

Our Vision is a future in which ALL students will develop and maintain proficiency in English and at least one other language, modern or classical. Children who come to school from non-English backgrounds should also have opportunities to develop further proficiencies in their first language.

Fulton County Schools offer a variety of languages and levels for students to pursue from sixth grade to senior year.

Students who attend a Fulton County middle school have an opportunity to begin World Languages study in French or Spanish, and in some schools, American Sign Language, Chinese, German, Latin, Japanese or Spanish for Native Speakers prior to high school.

Elementary World Languages
