There are no required face-to-face sessions or live sessions, although these type of support sessions are available for student support and can be scheduled with your teacher. • Can I take virtual classes and traditional classes in the same semester?

    Posted by:

Students have the option to take their virtual course on or off campus. If the course is scheduled at the beginning or end of the school day, a student can choose one of the following options: either to arrive late or to leave early to complete their online course off-campus. If the online course is scheduled during the middle of the day, students should take their online course on-campus. Students cannot leave in the middle of the school day and return later during the school day.

  • For a yearlong class, can I take both semesters at once?

    Posted by:

Typically, no. Most courses have content in the second semester that builds on material from first semester (This is especially true in the mathematics courses). There are a few courses whose content in the two terms do not depend on each other as much. Speak with your counselor for recommendations for the course(s) you are considering.

  • Are there assignment due dates?

    Posted by:

Yes.  Once enrolled, students will see due dates for all tasks for the entire course.  If work is not submitted by the due date, the missing work receives a zero.  Once the missing work is completed, submitted, and reviewed, the zero is replaced with the student's earned score.  All due dates are visible within the Canvas calendar as well as on the "To Do" list on a student's Canvas dashboard.
