Submitted Test Scores for Zell Miller Scholarship

  • Zell Miller Scholarship hopeful students need to follow the steps below to upload their Sat or ACT test scores to gafutures.org to meet all requirements for the award. A 1200 SAT or 26 ACT is needed along with a 3.7 HOPE GPA to qualify and four rigorous courses defined by Georgia. Student Finance Commission. For details, visit www.gafutures.org

     

    Students with a College Board SAT score report may upload a copy of the score report to GSFC. Students with an ACT score may request that ACT electronically send their score report to GSFC. Student records are updated with received test score reports within 3-5 business days.

    To upload your SAT score report using the GAfutures' Document Upload feature, follow these steps:

    1. Print your SAT test score report from the College Board's website.
    2. Sign, date, and write this statement on the report: "This is a true and exact copy of the original score report."
    3. Save your document(s) as one file (Acceptable file types: pdf, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, tif, tiff).
    4. Sign in to your GAfutures account and select Document Upload, which is located on the left-hand side of the page.
    5. Select the Document Type: SAT scores.
    6. Attach your document file and select the submit button.

    To request ACT to submit your score report to GSFC electronically, follow these steps:

    1. Go to ACT.org and sign into your account.
    2. Select your ACT score report to be sent to GSFC by entering the recipient code 2225
    3. ACT will then send GSFC an electronic file to update the student's record. 

    Georgia public and private high school students are able to track their HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship status from high school through their GAfutures account at My High School HOPE GPA. It will display when an acceptable test score is received. Once a document is uploaded, student records are updated within three to five business days.

HOPE & Zell Miller Scholarship Applications

  • HOPE Grade Point Average Available in GaFutures.org

    All students should be able to see their HOPE GPA at www.GaFutures.org. A student's final GPA that determines eligibility is available after graduation. However, students can see a running calculation after each semester, enabling students and families to see where they stand.

HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships and Grants

  • The HOPE Scholarship program is for students who have demonstrated academic achievement and are seeking a college degree. There are several ways to become eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, either by graduating from high school as a HOPE Scholar or by earning it while in college.

    • The HOPE Grant program is for students seeking a technical certificate or diploma, regardless of the student's high school grade point average or graduation date. 
    • The Zell Miller Scholarship Program is for students who have demonstrated academic achievement and are seeking a college degree. Generally, to become eligible, a student must graduate from an eligible high school with a 3.70 GPA and a minimum score on the SAT/ACT.

    • The HOPE Scholarship, Zell Miller Scholarship, and HOPE Grant pay a certain amount for tuition. The amount of the award depends on the type of school the student is attending, the number of credit hours the student is enrolled, and the specific tuition rate for the college.
