    Summertime

    The countdown is on!

The first day of the 2023-2024 school year is only six days away and we are so excited! While students were off enjoying their (well-deserved) summer break we were busy preparing our schools to open on Monday, August 7. There are many things to know about going back to school and lots of information to absorb. Luckily, we have everything broken down into a few easy tips:

Tip 1: Be sure to check out our "Back to School" website. This is the best place to find all the information you need for the new school year, including our "What's New for 2023-24" list.

Tip 2: Watch our “Top 10 Things to Know” video for a quick recap of important information.

Tip 3: Download the 2023-2024 School Calendar to track upcoming events, due dates, and holidays/breaks with our FCS District Calendar.

Tip 4: Find more news and information about recent board updates and district events/achievements on our FCS News Website.

Plus, read below to find information on social and emotional supports for our students. We look forward to a safe and scholarly school year!

    Text4Help

Text4Help: Silence helps no one. A text is all it takes

"Text4Help" is available to all FCS middle and high school students. Students can text 1-844-201-9946 and will be connected anonymously to a licensed mental health professional to talk and/or get connected with local mental health resources. This is available 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. Someone is always there to listen; our students are never alone. Get more info about Text4Help.

    FCS Tip Line

FCS Tip Line available in app, online, and by email

The district has a "Tip Line" function on the FCS app (available for iOS and Android phones) to report significant concerns anonymously, such as threats of harm to self or others, bullying, etc. This tool provides an easy way to "see something, say something." Tips can also be submitted at on the district website.

    Mental Health Resources

    On-site Mental Health Partners

FCS has developed a framework in which mental health partners are on the school campus and provide services to students. Students may access mental health providers on campus should they need that level of support and should their parents desire that option for them. Our partners provide individual therapy, groups, and parent events. We now have partnerships established in all FCS schools.

    Connect Fulton

Connect Fulton available to the whole FCS community

Anyone - not only FCS students and employees but also parents and community members who live and/or work in Fulton County - can go to the Connect Fulton website, enter their zip code and access thousands of local, reduced-cost resources. Whether the need is for food, housing, financial, medical, clothing, job training, etc., a multitude of services and solutions are available.

    Internet Safety

Student Internet Safety & Device Care

Using technology to learn is a daily occurrence in our classrooms, so FCS has produced videos to give students an overview of responsible internet use and how to care for their school-issued learning device. The videos will be shown to students during the first few weeks of school and can be viewed by parents here.
