Katie Gregory, who represents District 3, has dedicated her career to public service and advocacy. She was selected by the Fulton County School Board in 2022 to fill a vacated District 3 seat.

Before her appointment, Mrs. Gregory was chair of the School Governance Council at Hapeville Elementary School and devoted her time to supporting the school, its programs, and the Hapeville community. Seeing an opportunity for greater parent involvement, Gregory helped reinstate the school’s PTA after it became inactive.

A graduate of the University of Alabama with a chemical engineering degree, Mrs. Gregory currently serves as a vice president of McGuireWoods Consulting in Atlanta. In this position she works in government affairs at the state and local levels and provides support on environmental policy and climate change issues. She focuses on assisting companies with an environmental strategy for permitting and compliance matters. She also provides insight into attainable corporate sustainability goals, including renewable energy.

Earlier in her career, Mrs. Gregory spent 14 years working in the public sector for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GEPD). She served as an environmental engineer in the Air Protection Branch, where she interpreted and applied complex state and federal regulations, and as a manager in the Land Protection Branch, where she supervised all of the permitting, compliance and enforcement for over 700 surface mines throughout Georgia.

She and her husband live in Hapeville with their two children. She has served the community on Hapeville Main Street’s Board of Directors and is a member of Tri-Cities Church in East Point.
