Q: What is Remote Learning?A: Remote Learning is a strategy for learning continuity to be deployed for when circumstances necessitate time away from school. This plan assumes that power and internet connectivity is not disrupted. This remote engagement could apply to all schools or selected schools within the district, and will be supported by district staff.
Q: What platform will synchronous instruction be given through?
A: Microsoft Teams.
Q: How can I request and get a laptop or hotspot?
A: Laptops and hotspots will be distributed through the student's home school. Contact your school's Device Coordinator for additional information. In the event that the entire school converts to remote learning, laptops and hotspots can be requested by appointment through the Information Technology Service Desk at 470-254-HELP. For the safety of you and our staff, an appointment is required to pick up or swap equipement at a hub location.
Q. What are the Minimum Device Specifications if I want to purchase a device for my student?
A. A complete list of minimum specs are available for download. Please note that Dell offers discounts to FCS employees, students and parents.
Q: Where are the Hubs located and how do I get an appointment?
A: The hubs are regionally located at Global Impact Academy, Paul D. West MS, Ridgeview MS, Centennial HS, and Roswell HS. If your entire school moves to remote learning, appointments must be scheduled by calling the Information Technology Service Desk (470-254-HELP). You can request hotspot distribution, swap non-working devices, or power cords.
Q: How do I log into my child's school accounts?
A: Most Fulton County Schools Digital Resources can be accessed by logging into ClassLink. You can access ClassLink by visiting https://launchpad.classlink.com/fcs
* Please note your school may have purchased additional resources specific to your school. You will need to contact your school regarding these resources.
Q: What is ClassLink (Launchpad)?
A: Launchpad is a single sign-on platform that will allow you to use your FCS username and password to access everything you need. Classlink delivers instant access to your web resources from all your devices. Students' passwords may be the student's date of birth in this format: MMDDYYYY or a password chosen by the student.
Q: What do I do if I need technical assistance with Remote Learning?
A: Should you require technical assistance with Remote Learning, you can call the Information Technology Service Desk: 470-254-HELP.
Q: How do I know what assignments my child should complete?
A: Schools will communicate assignments to parents and students through the school's regular communication channels.
- Check your email for communication from the school or teacher.
- Check the school's website.
- Email your child's teacher and/or the school principal.
Q: When are the assignments due?
A: Students will be given a minimum of two weeks to submit assignments upon returning to school.
Q: Who do I contact if I have questions?
A: General questions about your school's Digital Learning lessons and assignments should be directed to the teacher and/or school.

Q: What if I don't know my child's student ID number?
