FCS Learning Options for 2021-22

  • Fulton County Schools has long offered a variety of learning options so parents may find quality instructional environments that best meet the needs of their children. Our traditional schools provide several remediation, enrichment, and acceleration programs for students. Alternative schools such as charters or magnets are available in every region. Given our learnings from COVID, we are added additional options for the 2021/2022 school year.

K-2 Remote Program

  • FCS believes that face-to-face instruction is the most appropriate learning environment for early learners. However, we acknowledge that there is a myriad of concerns that parents navigate which necessitates a remote option. The K-2 Remote Program meets that need. Students may attend this virtual instructional program which instructs the four Core Subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies). Classes are conducted by teachers who follow the FCS standard curriculum. Families who select this option are issued an FCS device and a hotspot if necessary. Parents commit to a full semester of attendance and provide adult supervision for their children during instructional hours. For more information, please email K-2RemoteProgram@fultonschools.org. The K-12 Remote Program runs from September 7 to December 17.

Registration for this program closed August 20.

Fulton Academy of Virtual Excellence (FAVE)

  • For students in grade 3 through 11, FAVE allows students to attend classes in a more flexible format outside of the traditional 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., face-to-face school day. Instruction includes a blend of live, online lessons (synchronous) and self-directed lessons (asynchronous) from Fulton County teachers. The main difference between FAVE and the online course offerings already provided is that students would enroll as full-time members of the online school's unique student body instead of continuing at their current school. Additional seats were made available at FAVE for this school year.  For more information, please contact FAVE directly at 470-254-6570 or visit the website at FAVE website.
