Evening with Liberal Arts Colleges
Students and parents/guardians are invited to join representatives from Bates, Davidson, Oberlin, Occidental, and Smith to learn more about academic opportunities, financial aid, and the student experience at these top liberal arts colleges. During a virtual session on Thursday, October 6 at 8:00 pm, representatives will discuss how their admissions processes have adapted in the era of COVID-19, including what the new application landscape looks like, test-optional policies, and how students can connect with colleges virtually.

Virtual College Visits
Who can attend?
Juniors and seniors can attend virtual meetings with college representatives during the school day. Students can sign up by logging into Naviance through Classlink and selecting the college visits they are interested in attending. All visits will be visible on the student's Naviance dashboard.
How to sign up
To attend a college session, students must sign up 24 hours in advance of a visit date and obtain teacher approval for any missed classes. Students will use the sign-up confirmation from Naviance as their pass to leave class. Students may listen to the presentation in the Media Center using a device or phone and headphones or earbuds.
If you have questions or issues accessing a session, contact Ms. Thimsen in the Bridge West office for assistance.
Pathway to College Virtual Series
The Latin American Association returns this year with their Pathway To College virtual series (fully bilingual in English/ Spanish). Everyone is invited to a three-part virtual series that will include topics such as: The College Admissions process, which college is right for you, and how to pay for college. Whether you are an educator trying to learn how to better assist your Latinx students in college, a parent who wants to learn about the resources their child has here in the US, or a student who is navigating this process all on their own…Join us as we embark on this rollercoaster that is college/ university together.
We will offer sessions both at 11 am and 6 pm to meet the needs of our families, so you have two chances to attend. The information being presented at 11 am will be the same as 6 pm, and you are free to join us at either time. Registration is necessary, and you can register at the link below. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with the zoom link. In an effort to simplify the process this year, we have decided to use one zoom link for the entire series. I have attached the Flyer for this year’s workshop below if you would like to share.
