River Trail Middle School

Welcome to River Trail Middle School

  • PTO Membership Drive

The middle school years are impactful for students.  At RTMS, you can expect an environment that is safe, respectful, and enriching, in order for each student to grow academically, emotionally, and socially.   Middle school is also a time for parents to continue their involvement, so I encourage you to become active with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).  Membership and volunteer opportunities are located at  https://rivertrailpto.com/membership/.

Thank you for choosing River Trail Middle School.  We appreciate your endless trust and support as we help your child to reach their highest potential.

  • Family Media Agreement

A healthy media diet balances three things: what kids do, how much time they spend doing it, and whether their content choices are age-appropriate. Mixing media and tech time with other activities will help families find that happy medium. Use the Common Sense Family Media Agreement and Device Contract to set realistic rules that make sense for your family so you and your kids can make the most out of media and tech time. http://bit.ly/familymediaagree

  • Public Library Card Drive

Don’t have a card? Need to get yours renewed? Need a replacement card? Email Mrs. Sansbury (sansburys@fultonschools.org), and she can help you. What can you do with a public library card? Check out eBooks and audiobooks. Use the FREE online Mango Languages program to learn a new language or to improve your English. Use the online service Tutor.com that connects your student with an online tutor to help with homework or prepare for an upcoming test.

  • Student Drop Off

Please remember that student drop off begins at 8:15 AM. If you drive your child to school, he/she may not enter the building until 8:15 unless he/she has a specific pass from a teacher to meet with him/her at an earlier time. We do not have staff available before 8:15 am to supervise students, and it is not safe for them to be at school unsupervised.

  • Sweep Bus

For those who want to participate in afternoon school activities we provide bus transportation to three community locations. The bus departs River Trail at 5:15 p.m. There is no charge for this service. The Sweep Bus is offered throughout the school year, Monday – Thursday, except on Community Nights. Adult supervision is NOT provided by the school at the drop-off sites. Please be prompt in picking up your child.
