Chess Club
Another Powerful Victory for the River Trail Competitions Chess Team!!!
Led by our chess club president, Aiden Gan, River Trail defeated all competitors to take first place in the Georgia State Qualifier Chess Tournament. The River Trail Competition Chess Team consists of Aiden Gan, Richard Li, Aayush Shivastava, Albert Liu, Eric Mao, Karunya Challa, Gabriel Shao, Divyand Aarwal, Aditya Ahuja, and Ayaan Tuleja (Team Sponsors: Carolyn Valada and Philip Paulk). All of our participants did well, with special individual awards going to Richard and Aayush, tying for 7th place, and Aiden Gan taking 3rd overall. While we defeated all other teams in the state at the qualifier, we still need to beat the top 12 teams again in the state final on March 30th. We could use your support in our effort to repeat as the #1 Middle School Chess Team in the State of Georgia.
