It is my great honor to serve as your assistant principal for Abbotts Hill Elementary School. This is my second year at Abbotts Hill Elementary School. There is so much to be proud of, and I am excited to be a part of this wonderful and dedicated community.
Education has always been a passion of mine. I changed my career from business to education to follow my heart. I hold a Master of Arts in Education degree from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master of Business degree from Case Western Reserve University.
I have many years of teaching and leadership experience at the adult and child levels. In fact, I have held various leadership positions at FedEx Logistics and Swagelok Company. I was also an instructor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at John Carroll University. Prior to joining the Abbotts Hill Elementary School Team, I served as an Instructional Support Teacher at Sweet Apple Elementary School. I am a firm believer of lifelong learning.
I am a native of Ohio, but I lived in Boston prior to relocating to Georgia in 2016. I married to my high school sweetheart Joe and we have one daughter. I enjoy swimming, cycling, spending time with my family, and watching college football games (especially Ohio State). Go Buckeyes!
This is such an exciting time to be at Abbotts Hill Elementary School and I am looking forward to partnering with you and working with our wonderful students. This is a great school year! Thank you for your commitment and dedication to making Abbotts Hill Elementary School the best that it can be.
Greetings Abbotts Hill families. My name is Tiffany Poke and I am proud to serve as the school counselor of Abbotts Hill Elementary for another wonderful school year. I began my career as a school counselor with the Cobb County School District in 2008.
After joining the Fulton County School District in 2015, I worked for three years as a school social worker before joining Abbotts Hill Elementary as a school counselor. In addition to being a professional school counselor, I am also a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia. I am the mother of three very beautiful and very busy children all under the age of 7.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my children and my husband by going on walks, visiting parks, enjoying festivals, watching sporting events, and doing anything outdoors. I also enjoy learning, and I’m currently learning American Sign Language! I look forward to my continued work with the families and students at Abbotts Hill Elementary.
My husband and I reside in the Sandy Springs area. This is my ninth year with Fulton County Schools with 15 years of prior experience in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Charlotte, NC; Bladen County Schools, Elizabethtown, NC; and Cannon School (private school) Concord, NC.
I am excited every day to work alongside the tremendous students, staff, and administration at Abbotts Hill. My primary role is to positively impact student achievement. This will be accomplished by providing coaching and modeling for our teachers along with assisting with determining appropriate interventions and extensions based on evidence of student progress and learner needs. My passion is to provide service to our educators to impact positive student achievement. Looking forward to an AWESOME year of learning and growing with our Jaguar Family.
