Great news from the NS Chinese Program
YouTube: YouTube was blocked for all elementary students in April 2023 and will continue to be blocked through the 2023-24 school year. Middle and high school students will still have access to YouTube, but stricter filters will be in place to specifically target and block mature themes, explicit language, and violence to help ensure a safer and more appropriate online experience. Teachers and staff will continue to have access to YouTube with moderate filtering.

Certificate of Scholarship by Bill Harrison Foundation
Good morning, everyone.
It has been an eventful year for Engineering at North Springs High School.
“The ideal engineer is a composite … He is not a scientist, he is not a mathematician, he is not a sociologist or a writer; but he may use the knowledge and techniques of any or all these disciplines in solving engineering problems.”
Our kids at Engineering have been challenged throughout the year in exploring/solving real life problems, participating in engineering competitions and designing models during classroom hours and have come out with flying colors. This commitment from the students have made us stand unique in the competitions we have participated this year and bringing in more pride to the school and North Springs CTAE.
Achieving these are merely impossible without the support of our sponsors and partners. One such partnership which stood out among all was our Partnership with Bill Harrison foundation, Sandy Springs Arts Foundation and Harrison Design.
We were so happy to have our students from CTAE Engineering and Graphics participate in a successful and productive workshop on Architecture Design organized in partnership with Bill Harrison foundation, Sandy Springs Arts Foundation and Harrison Design in our school premises over last couple of months. The program gave our students an opportunity to learn the architecture design concepts from the best in the industry and have a hands-on experience in designing some of the challenging design solutions.
Icing on the cake is 3 of our students have been selected and been awarded with a CERTIFICATE OF SCHOLARSHIP by Bill Harrison Foundation. This scholarship provides them an opportunity to participate in a 2-week fully funded SUMMER ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM at “THE GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY”
On behalf of North Springs HS family, I would like to thank Ms. Andrea , Ms. Maureen, and Mr. John for giving us this opportunity to partner with them. We would like to continue this partnership in coming years. Thank you so much.
I have also attached few pictures taken while the Scholarship was awarded to the students.
Looking forward to taking Engineering at North Springs HS up a notch during next academic year. Exciting times ahead.

Multicultural Night is Back to Stay!
North Springs High School's Multicultural Night recently returned after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The event, organized by the World Language department, co-led by Ms. Ferris and Ms. Kent from the Dance department was held on Thursday, March 9th, and aimed to promote cross-cultural understanding and community involvement.
The event was a much awaited one, and the students and family were not disappointed. The evening began with students performing culturally rich programs during the 4th period and from 6 pm to 6:30 pm at the auditorium. Students showcased cultures and traditions through dance, music, and other performing arts, highlighting the diverse backgrounds of the school's community. The event featured performances from various cultures, including Belly Dancing by the North Springs Dance Company, song "Lift Every Voice and Sing" by Jordan Bartlett, LatinX Dance Mix by Alondra Villavicencio-Anguiano and Mario Ruiz, dance "Welcome to the Caribbean" by the North Springs Dance Group, song "Stand up" by Krerstin Dykes, Lion Dance Dragon Dance and song "A Brunch of Plum Flower" by the Chinese Culture Club and a Liberian poem "Native Tongue" by Cymby Conde .
After the performances, the whole school community was invited to enjoy food and many other fun culture activities in the cafeteria. These activities included Chinese painting, calligraphy, paper cutting, name writing in various languages, picture taking with Roman costumes and the Spanish Honor society was selling hand woven bracelets to help raise funds for education in Nicaragua. The event was a great opportunity for students to learn more about different cultures and traditions, engage in cultural activities, and interact with the school community.
The organizers and participants alike were thrilled with the success of the event, which celebrated the diversity of cultures within the community. Events like these are essential in promoting cultural understanding, breaking down barriers, and building a more inclusive community. It was a great event, and everyone is already looking forward to next year's celebration.
