About Our School
North Springs High School is one of 17 high schools in the Fulton County School system and is located in the heart of the City of Sandy Springs. Built in 1963, we are one of the oldest schools in the system with a long tradition of excellence and innovation.
In 2013, we celebrated our 50th anniversary, and our commitment to preparing students for the world that awaits them is stronger than ever. We are a school of higher learning where our focus is on student achievement for all students.
North Springs is both a comprehensive high school and the only dual magnet high school in Georgia, with two specialized magnet programs in math/sciences and visual/performing arts. In 2015-16, we became part of Fulton County Schools' system charter which did not exist when NSCHS paved the way as the first conversion charter high school in the school system seven years ago.
We are accredited by the Georgia Department of Education and Advanced Ed. We are proud to have again been named a U.S. News & World Report Outstanding High School, included in The Washington Post's 2016 list of "America's Most Challenging High Schools", a listing of high schools with the most rigorous curriculum, and an AP Honor School for high student participation and the high number of passing scores on Advanced Placement exams.
We boast some amazing students, faculty and staff.
