Dear Asa G. Hilliard School Community,

My name is Maureen Lilly and I am honored to serve as the principal of Asa Hilliard Elementary School.  I am eager to continue this educational journey working side by side with each of you with the shared goal of doing what's best for our students. I am impressed with the talent, passion, and commitment to children that our staff has to offer to the entire Panther family.

As your principal, it is my mission to ensure that we will always do what is best for our children. I believe all students can and will learn when provided with the necessary tools and resources. This means all students who enter our doors are ready to do their best in a supportive and loving environment. It is my mission to ensure all students will achieve a minimum of one year's worth of academic growth during each school year they attend Asa Hilliard Elementary.

We have begun building relationships to best serve our most precious resource, the students. I hold myself accountable to support teachers, parents and students in a way that allows us to create a positive school environment that will result in improved student learning, achievement, and growth, both academically and emotionally.  I am also committed to developing our relationship while maintaining an open-door policy where conversations are geared towards helping us meet the needs of our learners. I encourage each and every one of you to volunteer and create partnerships with your child's teacher.  This will allow for great things to happen for our children!

Again, I am thrilled to be Asa G. Hilliard Elementary' s Principal and I am looking forward to embarking on an exciting, successful 2019-2020 school year!
